Our School

Makedonia Vocational Training Institute of Tourism

The building of our School is the former hotel "XENIA-ILIOS", located in a unique area on the beach of  Peraia - Thessaloniki and has a great history to share with both its students and visitors. 

Combining the historical past and present, we strive to provide our students with a comprehensive experience, that lasts for two years and includes in addition to high quality tourism education, multiple experiences concerning hospitality and aesthetics, into the professional premises of a real hotel.

Vocational Training Institute of Tourism

Attendance at the Institutes of Vocational Training is compulsory, it comprises of 5 semesters, signified by the completion of 4 semesters of theoretical and laboratory courses of 1200 hours for each field of study and 1 semester of curricula work placement, known as internship, of 960 hours.

Re-Training programs

Re-Training programs

The Ministry of Tourism operates in various cities of Greece ongoing retraining programs, in accordance with Law 1077/1980, for those already employed in the tourism sector or for the temporarily unemployed, which have only empirical knowledge of their subject matter. These programs are not included in formal education and lead to unclassified degrees.
