Welcome to Makedonia Vocational Training Institute of Tourism!

From 1956 onwards, the Historic School of Tourism Professions of Thessaloniki has been one of the largest state educational schools in Greece.

At our school, the educational and administrative staff is constantly collaborating to provide our students with high-level education. The standard facilities of the hotel “XENIA-ILIOS” in combination with the curricula, academic knowledge and professional experience of the teachers, lead to the offer of an integrated educational system for the tourism sector, hospitality and gastronomy. Our programs combine theoretical and laboratory courses as well as hands-on experience through a systematic paid internship program.

We strive to provide our students with experiential education, in a safe, disciplined and welcoming environment, where the concepts of teamwork, professional & social responsibility, environmental awareness can be developed, constantly incorporating its current developments and modern trends.

From the first day at School, our students have been able to develop professional qualifications, skills and techniques, build friendships and professional networking that will help them for the rest of their lives.
