Experimental School of Advanced Vocational Training of Tourism of Macedonia

The building of our School is the former “XENIA-HELIOS” hotel, located in a unique area on the beach of Peraia, Thessaloniki. It has a rich history to share with both its students and visitors.

Combining its historical past with the present, we strive to provide our students with a comprehensive, two-year experience. In addition to high-quality tourism education, this includes diverse experiences regarding hospitality and aesthetics within the professional environment of a real hotel.
The curriculum spans two years and comprises four semesters of theoretical and laboratory courses. It also includes a paid summer internship, which helps students gain practical experience, skills, and professional knowledge.

Students are expected to:

• Understand all key areas of the tourism industry.
• Apply their specialty techniques effectively.
• Make thoughtful decisions according to their position.
• Manage different situations in a constantly changing environment.
• Communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate social and personal skills.
• Interact with confidence, enthusiasm, and creativity in a professional environment.

Upon completion of their studies, students acquire a “Certificate of Successful Training”. Then, by passing the certification exams conducted by the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP), our graduates acquire a STATE DIPLOMA (Level 5) within the National and European Qualifications Framework (Law 4283/2014, Government Gazette 189/A/10-9-2014), which is recognized both in Greece and across Europe (within and outside the European Union).

Our graduates achieve a 100% employment rate shortly after graduation, with the vast majority holding middle and senior management positions. Additionally, many of our graduates successfully launch their own businesses in various sectors of the tourism and food industries.
